Rules & Regulations

1.)    NO membership required.

2.)    No consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs during  
        tournament hours.

3.)    All boats must meet Coast Guard specifications. You must
        have a kill switch attached to operator's life vest when boat
        is on plane.  

4.)    Boat must have adequate live well to keep fish alive.  Dead
        fish will result in a penalty of 1/2 pound per dead fish.    

5.)    Live bait is permitted.  Trolling is permitted. All crappie must
        be caught alive in a conventional sporting manner.

6.)    Each team may only weigh-in seven (7) fish.  Fish length is
        according to lake rules at tournament time.  Fish will be
        measured on a golden rule board.  Short fish will result in
        disqualification.  You must use my bags for weighing fish.

7.)    Competitors must stay at least fifty (50) yards away from
        fellow competitors.

8.)    Trailering a boat to another location is not permitted.

9.)    Teams may use rod and reel combos, handheld poles and reel
        combos, or  handheld poles.  Eight (8) pole limit per team, two
        (2) Hooks or baits per pole applies, unless where state limits
        set at a lesser number.

10.)   All partners are final after third (3rd) tournament.  Only one
        (1) alternate is allowed per tournament season per team.

11.)   Anyone that checks in after their weigh in time will receive a
        late penalty of one (1) pound per minute.  Anyone more than
        fifteen (15) minutes late will be disqualified.

12.)   All angling must be conducted from their boat.  Contestants
        must leave and return to the official checkpoint by boat. 
        Contestant cannot leave boat to make boat more accessible
        to water or to land a fish.

13.)   Any recipient of prize money could be subject to a lie
        detector test.

14.)   Protest must be made in writing before closing of scales.

15.)   Decisions of the tournament director are final in all matters
        and are not subject to appeal.

16.)   Classic qualifications:  Fish 6 of 8 tournaments.  Tournaments
        can be purchased to qualify for the classic, anytime during
        the tournament season.

17.)   It is the responsibility of the boat owner to have the
        appropriate insurance and registration.  It is the responsibility
        of the contestants to have the appropriate licenses and such.

18.)   Agree to hold harmless TN River Trail and employees, heirs,
        sponsors.  Boater and/or Partner are responsible for their own
        actions; accidental or intentional.

19.)   All live fish will be returned to the lake after weigh in, no
        exceptions.
